At the age of 31, Bogdan Mihailescu has been invited to several festivals around the world. He has given concerts and masterclasses in Switzerland, France, Romania, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Finland, Australia, Brazil, Argentina and Mexico.
Born in Bucharest, Romania, he started playing guitar at 10 years old. At the age of 17, he played with the National Radio Orchestra of Bucharest playing the Concerto in C major by Antonio Vivaldi at the Mihail Jora concert hall.
In 2011, after finishing his studies at the George Enescu Music School in the class of Liviu Georgescu, he obtained his bachelor’s degree from the National Superior Conservatory of Paris (CNSMDP) with Olivier Chassain and Laurent Blanquart as his teachers. At the same time, he took private classes with Judicael Perroy.
Bogdan also holds a master’s degree in interpretation from the CNSMDP and a master’s degree in pedagogy from the Haute Ecole de Musique de Geneve.
He has won multiple international competitions such as Jose Tomas in Spain, Adelaide in Australia, Enrico Mercatali in Italy, Sinaia in Romania, Talinn in Estonia.
His debut CD Nocturne was released at Jose Tomas Guitar Festival in 2016.
